Dr. Franz Klutschkowski

Ed.D, Executive Director of
WC Counseling Center

Dr. Franz is a semi-retired counselor of 42 years. He has provided counseling services for individuals with a wide range of problems including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, addictive behaviors, and family concerns including marriage, divorce, parenting issues, and people who just have excess stress in their lives. His primary treatment approaches are cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. He earned a Master of Arts degree from Wichita State University in Psychology and his doctorate degree from Texas A&M University in counseling.

Diana Leman

M.Ed, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); National Certified Counselor

Leman graduated with a master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Texas. She loves working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Her counseling expertise includes assisting those with issues of anxiety, grief, fear, depression, loss, low self-esteem, individual, family and marital difficulties. For numerous years, Leman was a college counselor and has worked with hundreds of students maneuvering through the maze of the ups-and-downs of college. She is also an experienced academic counselor and has helped prepare students for their future academic pursuits.

Boyd Shannon

MS, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Boyd graduated with a master’s degree in counseling from Texas Woman’s University in 2007. He served as a classroom teacher, coach and counselor in Fort Worth ISD for 11 years. As a current counselor in Birdville ISD, his greatest strength is building rapport with clients and creating a climate of understanding and acceptance in order to help them make positive, lasting changes in their lives. His counseling experience includes working with children, young adults, adults, parents, and families, on a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, family dynamics, and personal growth.

HOlly Edwards

MA, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Edwards’ passion is to help people navigate through times in their lives when they are feeling sadness, anxiety, anger, confusion, fear, grief, conflict, or relationship stress. She collaborates with clients to help them understand and cope with these feelings and life experiences. She works with individuals who are ages 13 and up, couples, and families. She also has experience working with caregivers of those with special needs and dementia. Her undergraduate work was completed at Montana State University earning a B.A. in Sociology. She earned her M.A. degree in professional counseling from Amberton University.

Cara Burris

MS, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Burris specializes in working with youth and young adults experiencing challenges ranging from anxiety, depression, suicide ideation, low self-esteem, and various types of trauma. Over the last nine years, her career goal has been to establish a safe, inviting, and open environment comfortable for clients to address barriers and accomplish personal growth. In addition to working with youth, she is experienced in counseling young children and adults who have been impacted by domestic and sexual violence. She earned her B. S. degree from the University of North Texas in Development and Family Studies and her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas Arlington.

Dr. Nina Rios-Doria

PhD, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Dr. Nina Rios-Doria received her Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and a PhD in Human Development from Texas Woman’s University. She has been a counselor for over 17 years and is a published author and speaker. She works with teens, young adults, women and men struggling with anxiety, grief, abuse and those who are in need of general purpose and direction. She also works with teams and athletes to improve their overall mental health by helping them cope with stress, pressure and the demands that many athletes experience today. Dr. Nina is on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of North Texas Advisory Board.
